Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) in Hisar celebrates a significant achievement as their scientists secure a patent from the Government of India's Patent Office for an integrated paddy thresher machine.

Developed by the esteemed scientists of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, this innovative machine, equipped with a dryer, de-husker, and polisher, promises to revolutionize agricultural practices, particularly benefiting farmers.

Spearheaded by Dr. Mukesh Jain from the Department of Farm Machinery and Power Engineering, Dr. Kanchan K Singh, former ADG of ICAR, and Professor Satya of IIT-Delhi, this invention signifies a leap forward in agricultural technology.

Vice Chancellor BR Kamboj extends his heartfelt congratulations to the scientists for their remarkable contribution. With the patent secured, farmers can now efficiently extract paddy grains, dry, de-husk (for brown rice), and polish (for white rice) directly in the fields, eliminating the need to visit mills.

This newfound convenience empowers farmers to produce brown rice, rich in nutrients and fiber, directly for their consumption. Dean of the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Dr. SK Pahuja, highlights the machine's suitability for a 50 HP tractor, boasting a rice production capacity of 150 kg/hour.

Priced at Rs 6 lakh, the cutting-edge machine promises to enhance productivity and sustainability in agriculture.
