SBI Latest News: State Bank of India, country’s largest lender has introduced a new facility for its customers - ‘doorstep ATM service’. All you will have to do is just make a call to SBI or send a WhatssApp message and a mobile ATM will come to your place. This will be helpful for customers who are maintaining social distancing during Covid-19 pandemic.
Chief General Manager of State Bank of India, Lucknow Circle, Ajay Kumar Khanna informed about the decision to introduce the SBI doorstep ATM service currently in Lucknow.
He tweeted that "This Independence Day TheOfficialSBI for the Lucknowites has introduced the facility of Mobile ATM at their doorstep. Just dial or WhatsApp to let us know and we will do the rest".
SBI ATM cash withdrawal rules
The bank has revised its ATM withdrawal rules with effect from July 1. According to the information available on State bank of India website, the bank allows eight free transactions to its savings account holders in a month in metropolitan cities. The 8 transactions include - free transactions from five SBI ATMs and three ATMs of other banks.
On the other hand, non-metro cities get ten free ATM transactions, in which five transactions can be made from SBI and five from other banks ATM.
Cash withdrawal: SBI doorstep facility
India’s top lender, SBI provides doorstep banking services to its consumers. The cash will be delivered under its doorstep delivery services.
This facility at present is available for senior citizens and specially-abled people. SBI customers will be able to avail this facility at select branches only.
Doorstep banking service includes cash delivery, cash pickup, cheque pickup, cheque requisition slip pickup, delivery of drafts, form 15H pickup, delivery of term deposit advice, life certificate pickup & KYC documents pickup.
