Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has released the admit cards for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 on January 7. Candidates who have registered for the examination can now download their hall tickets from the official GATE 2025 website at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
GATE 2025 exam will be held on February 1, 2, 15, and 16 across multiple centers. The test will be conducted in a computer-based format and will last for three hours. Candidates can choose from 30 different papers, and they can opt for up to two papers in the exam. The GATE exam includes three types of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions.
To download the admit card, candidates must log in using their enrolment ID and password. The admit card will include essential details like the exam date, time, location, and guidelines for exam day. It will also contain information such as the candidate’s name, enrolment ID, exam center, and paper code.
GATE exam, conducted by IIT Roorkee and organized by the Indian Institutes of Technology and IISc Bengaluru, is a national-level test for admission to master's and doctoral programs in various fields, including engineering, technology, science, architecture, and humanities. It is also used for recruitment by some public sector organizations. The GATE score remains valid for three years from the date the results are announced.
On the exam day, candidates must bring a printed copy of their admit card (A4 size) along with a valid, original photo ID. Photocopies, scanned copies, or expired IDs will not be accepted. Personal items such as calculators, watches, wallets, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or any electronic/communication gadgets are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall.
