GATE 2025 Registration Update: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has officially opened the application window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, August 28, 2024. Prospective candidates seeking to enroll in postgraduate engineering programs across various institutions can now register online through the official portal at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.
The registration process was initially set to commence on August 24, 2024, but was postponed to ensure smooth operations. Despite this delay, all other scheduled dates remain unchanged. The GATE 2025 examination will be conducted on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025, with two shifts each day. The morning shift will run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon shift from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The results are expected to be announced on March 19, 2025.

Exam Structure and Eligibility
GATE 2025 will feature 30 objective-type papers, all conducted in English. Candidates may select either one or two papers from the permissible combinations. Each exam will last three hours, and the scores will remain valid for three years from the announcement of the results.
To be eligible for GATE 2025, students must be in the third year or a higher year of their undergraduate engineering, technology, or architecture programs. Additionally, individuals who have completed a government-recognized degree in fields such as engineering, technology, science, commerce, arts, or humanities are also eligible to apply.
