An emotionally charged and culturally momentous gathering took place on June 21, 2025 at the newly inaugurated Andakuri Ganda Samaj Bhavan in Saketivatapara, Kondagaon, where Dr. Rajaram Tripathi was honoured with the prestigious “Vishisht Seva Samman”, a ceremonial robe (Angavastram), and a copy of the Indian Constitution.
The occasion, which brought together three major community celebrations — a district-level matrimonial meet, a felicitation of meritorious students, and the inauguration of the Samaj Bhavan — witnessed an unprecedented turnout of over 5000 participants. The emotional high point came when community leaders collectively declared Dr. Tripathi as the “Living Deity of the Ganda Samaj,” recognizing his lifelong commitment to the upliftment of marginalized and tribal communities.
Speaking from the stage, Dr. Tripathi highlighted his research which identifies the Ganda Samaj as a culturally rich, warrior-healer community, endowed with traditional medical knowledge and artisanal skills. Despite such a legacy, he noted with concern, the community has suffered from systemic neglect and social discrimination.

In his impassioned address, Dr. Tripathi vowed, “I will not rest until the Ganda Samaj receives its rightful respect, constitutional dignity, and social justice.”
When community elders appealed to him to formally “adopt” the society, Dr. Tripathi responded with heartfelt affirmation:
“My heart had already adopted this community. From today, I do so openly and with full commitment.”
The event also saw Dr. Tripathi warmly acknowledging the simplicity and sincerity of Municipal President Narpati Patel, and expressing his affection for Deputy President Jasketu Ursendi, whom he described as a younger brother admired by youth and elders alike.
The meticulously organized proceedings were conducted with grace and discipline, featuring vibrant participation from the youth wing, women’s wing, community leaders, civic representatives, and senior citizens. Matrimonial introductions were conducted in an inclusive and respectful manner, and deserving students from various academic streams were honoured publicly.

The presence of thousands of community members transformed the event into more than a celebration — it became a declaration of social resurgence, a revival of cultural pride, and a symbolic reclamation of voice and identity.
