Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana has started the process for admissions to different undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes in Veterinary Science, Fisheries, Biotechnology and Dairy Technology for the academic session 2021-22.
Dr. A.K. Arora, the Controller of Examination informed that the prospectus with detailed information about admission process that includes important dates, seat capacity, counseling /interview dates and reservation of seats etc. is available on the University website - www.gadvasu.in
Eligibility criteria
Dr Arora Informed about the university criteria that for B.V.Sc. & A.H. - NEET (UG)-2021 Rank/Score, B.F.Sc. - NEET (UG)-2021 Rank/ Score followed by 10+2 (Medical) merit, B.Tech. (Dairy Technology) - JEE (Mains)-2021 Rank/Score and 10+2 (Non-Medical) merit. And for Biotechnology it is NEET (UG)-2021 Rank/Score followed by 10+2 (Medical) merit/ JEE (Mains)–2021 Rank/Score and 10+2 (Non-Medical) merit.
The students must visit the web-link https://gadvasu.fdsbase.com/, register and login to the Admission Portal. From there, they will be taken to the requisite areas to fill all the columns in the form.
Dr. Harmanjit Singh Banga, Registrar, GADVASU said that the eligibility for admission to UG programmes in the College of Veterinary Science and College of Fisheries is 10+2 with Medical stream from a recognized Board/University and for College of Dairy Science and Technology is 10+2 with Non-medical stream and for College of Animal Biotechnology the eligibility is 10+2 with Medical and/or Non-medical streams.

The admission to Master’s programmes for residents of Punjab or Chandigarh in Fisheries, Veterinary Sciences, Dairy Technology & Animal Biotechnology will be based on the merit of the ICAR AIEEA-PG 2021 Score & merit of qualifying examination/ Rank/Score of GAT-B 2021.
Important Dates
The last date to apply online for admission to Undergraduate and Postgraduate Programmes at GADVASU is 6 September 2021 (without late fee) and 20 September 2021 (with late fee).

Dr. Banga said that after completion of degree, the Veterinary graduates are placed in the State or Central Animal Husbandry Departments/Army/Paramilitary organizations, R & D centres of Government or Private Sectors. They can become entrepreneurs or even pursue higher education in India or abroad, while Dairy Technologists have opportunities in Dairy industry, Milk Plants & Dairy cooperatives, Multinationals and can start entrepreneurship.
