Discussing India's energy strategy, Prime Minister Modi outlined the principles of availability, accessibility, affordability, and acceptability guiding India's pathway towards achieving NET ZERO emissions by 2070. He urged global participation in India’s Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), encouraging a worldwide tree plantation campaign launched on World Environment Day under the banner ‘Plant4Mother’ (Ek Pedh Maa Ke Naam).

Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni emphasized the session’s focus on critical global challenges, including Artificial Intelligence, the Mediterranean crisis, new partnerships with Africa, and climate change, urging pragmatic approaches devoid of ideology.
PM Modi reiterated India's commitment to championing the concerns of the Global South, particularly Africa, highlighting India's pride in the admission of the African Union as a permanent member of the G20 during its presidency.
