Previously, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had invited applications for the positions of Assistant Director, Deputy Manager, Food Analyst, Technical Officer, CFSO, Assistant Manager, Hindi Translator, IT Assistant, Junior Assistant from dynamic and motivated candidates seeking exciting job opportunities in the Food Regulatory System.

Candidates must confirm that they meet the qualifying requirements for the FSSAI positions they are seeking for before applying.
FSSAI Eligibility Criteria:
A candidate must be an Indian citizen, a Nepalese subject, a Bhutanese subject, or a Tibetan refugee who arrived in India before January 1, 1962 with the purpose of permanently staying there.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Microbiology or Dairy Chemistry or Food Technology, Food and Nutrition or Bachelor of Technology in Dairy or Oil or degree in Veterinary Sciences from a recognized university established in India by law or is an associate of the Institution of Chemists (India) by examination in the section of Food Analysts conducted by the Institution of Chemists (India) or any other equivalent qualification recognized and notified by the Central government for such purposes.
Job seekers should not be older than 50 years old for Principal Manager positions, and 25 to 35 years old for other positions. Relaxation of the CTC requirements for candidates in the EWS group is awaiting a government decision, which will be published by an amendment later. Candidates are urged to check the FSSAI website for any updates on this matter.
Candidate Shortlisting for CBT (Stage-2): Candidates will be shortlisted for CBT in a ratio of 1:20; Candidates for Interview Shortlisting: Shortlisted candidates will be in the ratio of 1:5 for the interview.
For final selection, marks earned in all phases of selection listed against each post in para above, in line with the weightage allotted to each stage, shall be counted. Candidates who fail to appear at any step of the selection process will be disqualified. Furthermore, if the Authority deems it essential, it has the right to implement an extra level of examination, which would be announced at a proper time.
