The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had invited applications for its FSSAI Internship Scheme 2022 in the month of December 2021. This Internship was supposed to start from January 2022 but it has been postponed till further order due to the surge in cases of COVID-19 as well as increased detection of the Variant of Concern (VoC), “Omicron".
We understand this is disappointing news for all the students who had applied for this internship, but the students must not be demotivated as the internship will be organized again as soon as the Covid situation will be under control.
FSSAI Issued an official notification regarding this on 10 January 2022, which read “The internship programme starting from the month of January 2022 has been suspended till further order due to the Government of India directions on signs of a surge in cases of COVID-19 as well as increased detection of the Variant of Concern (VoC), “Omicron” in different parts of the country and subsequent directions to ensure strict compliance of the guidelines thereon.”

FSSAI Internship Programme:
FSSAI organizes this internship every year around the same time for students of different disciplines. This provides interns with some amazing learning opportunities in various areas of Food regulation and food safety administration. The internship is 3-6 months long so. No internship of duration of less than a month is offered.
The interns are required to have their own laptops; FSSAI shall provide Working space, Internet facility and other necessities. No lodging or travel facilities will be provided by FSSAI.
A stipend of Rs 10000 for the internship period will be given to deserving interns on the recommendation of the office or division that they work with.
All candidates will be awarded a certificate on the successful completion of the internship.
