The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India, popularly known as FSSAI is inviting applications to fill 233 posts that include central food safety officer, food analyst, technical officer, assistant manager, assistant, personal assistant, IT assistant, etc.

Exam & Selection Procedure
It is important to mention that except for food analyst post, the food authority will conduct computer-based test for other posts. For posts such as central food safety officer, technical officer, and assistant manager there will be 2 computer-based tests while for other posts there will be a single computer-based test.
Applicants in the ratio of 1:5 will be selected and called for personal interview/interaction for the posts.
According to the FSSAI, “Marks obtained in all stages of selection in accordance with weightage assigned to each stage would be counted for final selection. Applicants absent in any stage of the selection process will not be eligible for the posts. Further, the Authority reserves the right to introduce additional stage of examination that would be notified at a suitable time, if considered necessary”.

It further added that “In case of two or three candidates scoring same marks at the final stage, then the candidate having a desirable qualification wherever applicable as per Recruitment Regulations will be given preference. If the tie still remains then the candidate older in age will get preference. If the tie continues to persist, the tie would be resolved by referring to the alphabetical order of names i.e., an applicant whose name starts with the alphabet which comes first in the alphabetical order will be given reference”.
