It was a moment of immense pride as Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, renowned organic farming expert and rural development leader from Chhattisgarh, was specially invited by Dr. Janice Darbari, the Honorary Consul General of Montenegro in India, to attend a diplomatic celebration held on the eve of Montenegro’s National Day.

The distinguished event took place at the Convention Hall of The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, where Dr. Tripathi represented India’s rich legacy of organic and traditional agricultural systems.

This prestigious invitation was not just a personal honour for Dr. Tripathi but also a recognition of the contributions made by the ‘Maa Danteshwari Herbal Group’, its dedicated farming community, and the state of Chhattisgarh as a whole.

During the event, Dr. Tripathi held a cordial meeting with Consul General Dr. Darbari and extended a warm invitation for her to visit the internationally certified organic Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm & Research Centre in Kondagaon, Chhattisgarh, an invitation she graciously accepted.

Among the other dignitaries present were Mr. M.C. Dominic, Founder of Krishi Jagran Group; Mrs. Shiny, Executive Director; and Mamta Jain, Chief Correspondent. Mr. Dominic spoke about the “Richest Organic Farmer of India Award” recently conferred upon Dr. Tripathi, and commended his pioneering efforts with tribal communities involved in organic and medicinal plant cultivation.

Montenegro, a scenic and biodiverse country in Southeastern Europe, is globally recognized for its commitment to clean energy, sustainable environmental practices, and innovative mountain farming techniques, offering valuable insights for India’s hilly and tribal regions.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Tripathi emphasized, “There are vast opportunities for Indo-Montenegrin collaboration in mountain organic farming, herbal agriculture, and tribal-based research. With the right policy-level dialogue and technological exchange, these possibilities can be effectively realized.”

This diplomatic engagement not only brought India’s organic heritage to the global stage but also opened promising new international avenues for the tribal farming communities of Chhattisgarh.
