According to the report issued by the Indian Meteorological Department, isolated regions in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands are likely to experience thunderstorms along with strong wind and lightning. The winds are predicted to be 30-40 km/ph.
The said thunderstorm and lightning are likely to occur between 19 to 21 March. The fishermen in the southeastern region of the Bay of Bengal have been warned about the storm and are also advised not to wander in the zones which are likely to get hit by the storm.
The IMD forecasted heavy rainfall in the isolated regions of Andaman and Nicobar Island on 19th March.
On March 19th, the state of Uttrakhand is also likely to witness a hail storm. Meanwhile, the state of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra will have heatwave conditions over the regions. The isolated areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, Puducherry, Karaikal, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Muzaffarabad, Tamil Nadu, Mahe, and Kerala are also forecasted to witness thunderstorms along with lightning.
Weather update: For Next Two Days
In accordance with the weather forecasting agency, the region of western Himalaya will experience snowfall and scattered rainfall from March 19 to 21.
In various regions of Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Uttrakhand, south peninsular India, and the Andaman and Nicobar Island, secluded rainfall is likely to occur from 19 to 21 March. The remainder of the country will have dry weather conditions.
