Professor Krish Pillai, an eminent technocrat visited Krishi Jagran’s office at Green Park on Thursday (18 August). Team Krishi Jagran got an opportunity to interact with the esteemed dignitary, who holds a command on different subjects, be it machine learning or emerging technologies like Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Autonomous Computing.
Prof Pillai, who has worked as an IT and Management consultant with various US agencies, shared his experience of traveling close to 45 countries across the globe and his stint with the agriculture sector, at KJ Choupal.
At the beginning of his speech, he talked about his pilgrimage trip to Kedarnath. As a Globetrotter, he told us about a picturesque place, Machu Picchu, and its serene environment. He also spoke about his interest in visiting UNESCO heritage sites.
By quoting a Malayalam phrase, Prof Krish said that how we are attracted to the things that are far away from us, his travelling experiences which he shared amid his speech were very enlightening.
Further, talking about the cultivation at farms, he underlined the need to recognize the strength of farmers and consider their produce in GDP.
"In India majority of us want to do a clerical job, and move to the city, very few are interested in farming", says Krish Pillai. He said that it is high time that farming should be considered as a respectable job.
Continuing his speech, he said that slowly concept is getting changed, and organization like Krishi jagran is going to create an awareness that will empower farmers to work efficiently.
