S. Niranjan Reddy, the Agriculture Minister, said on Sunday that the government has made all the necessary arrangements to credit the money to farmers' bank accounts at a rate of Rs 5,000 per acre from June 15 to June 25.
Farmers who got landholding passbooks and registered their information on the Dharani portal through CCLA by June 10 will be eligible for Rythu Bandhu assistance.
CCLA has sent a list of 63,25,695 beneficiaries to the agriculture department, according to the Minister. According to the authorities, support under the scheme for cultivation on 150.18 lakh acres across the state will cost Rs 7,508.78 crore.
This year, Rythu Bandhu has taken over an extra 66,311 acres. 2.81 lakh farmers will gain from this. To receive the benefit, first-time beneficiaries must submit their pattadar passbooks, aadhaar cards, and bank data to the agriculture extension officials in charge.
The sum will also be put in accounts whose IFSC codes may have changed owing to bank mergers, according to the Minister. He stated that the farmers should be unconcerned about this.
The district of Nalgonda has the most beneficiaries among the 34 districts (4,72,983). They own 12.18 lakh acres of land, and the district need Rs 608.81 crore in order to function.
The district of Medchal Malkajgiri has the fewest benefit (39,762). They possess 77,000 acres of land and will receive Rs 38.39 crore in help under the plan.
In the budget for 2021-22, the state government has aside Rs 14,800 crore for Rythu Bandhu. Every year, Rs 10,000 in investment support is granted under the plan for each acre.
The cash will be credited in two installments over two crop seasons by the government.
The initiative was started in 2018 by the government, with an investment support of Rs 8,000 per acre per crop. The value was raised to Rs 10,000 in 2019.
