Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has praised the hard work of farmers, stating that it is propelling the state towards becoming an "economic superpower" in India. Adityanath emphasized that villages in Uttar Pradesh are embracing technology and making significant progress.
Adityanath revealed that a total of 2.63 crore farmers in the state have already enrolled in the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. He further disclosed that an impressive amount of Rs 55,800 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of farmers in Uttar Pradesh as part of the initiative.
UP CM acknowledged that despite the government's efforts, some farmers have reported difficulties in accessing their funds. To address this issue, a large-scale process of Aadhaar authentication will be implemented to ensure that all eligible farmers can benefit from the scheme. The Chief Minister highlighted the significance of this move in enabling 100% of eligible farmers to receive the benefits they deserve.
During the event, Adityanath also launched the logo of the 'Darshan' portal, which will serve as a valuable resource providing information on agricultural facilities and associated benefits. Furthermore, the registration of farmers for various grants and services was initiated, providing them with opportunities for further support.
Agriculture and revenue department officials, along with representatives from post offices, will join forces to connect eligible farmers with the scheme in every village. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of publicizing this initiative extensively to ensure that all farmers can benefit from it.
The Chief Minister highlighted the remarkable progress made in digitizing land records, which has significantly reduced land disputes in the state. He also noted the successful implementation of the PM Swamitva Yojana, which has granted property ownership rights to numerous farmers. Adityanath revealed that 56 lakh houses have been made available in Uttar Pradesh, with plans to provide houses to 1.5 crore families by the end of the year, as the survey work has been completed.
Adityanath highlighted the implementation of the BC Sakhi Yojana and Village Secretariat in rural areas, ensuring that banking facilities are readily available. He emphasized the importance of embracing technology, stating that efforts are underway to further advance technological infrastructure in villages.
