The farmers’ agitation against agricultural laws on the borders of Delhi has been going on for almost 2 months. Farmers have announced to continue the movement, rejecting the government’s proposal.

In the 11th round of meeting, both sides were once again inconclusive, and the date of next meeting is not decided.

Farmers will Definitely Take out the Tractor Rally

As discussed in the previous meeting, the government has proposed to postpone the implementation of new farm laws but the farmers have rejected the proposal. Farmer leader, Rakesh Tikait says that farmers will definitely take out the tractor rally. And he also mentioned, “we are taking out the rally in tricolour, so why it is not being allowed.”

About the Meeting

Government asked the farmers to rethink and has appealed the farmers’ organizations to once again discuss about the government’s proposal. But, once again farmers’ organizations rejected the government’s proposal. Farmers’ organizations clearly said that we do not accept the government’s proposal, and will not end the farmers’ movement before the withdrawal of laws.

Next Date of meeting not fixed

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the proposal is for the interest of farmers only, and they can’t do anything better than this. At last, he said, “We will meet again.” But date hasn’t been fixed.

Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, “Today’s meeting was fruitless. We are sorry about this. Farmers’ Organizations want the withdrawal of laws, but we are proposing amendments. We asked farmers to consider the government’s proposal, this is in the interest of farmers. And we have asked the farmers to give their decision tomorrow.”
