The sudden reappealment of the farm laws after almost 1 year of constant protest has made a lot of people doubt the sudden turn of events that has unveiled itself in the Political world.
While Farmers are still reeling in shock and Bharat Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait is still trying to continue the protest until the Government is officially done with the rollback of the3 laws in the parliament in the winter session. Analysts and opposition party leaders are still trying to make sense of it.
However, all in all, the reactions to the end of the long-drawn Farmers protest are mostly positive.
Dr Kalyan Goswami the Director-General of Agro Chem Federation of India (ACFI) a registered non-profit organisation had this to say concerning the Rollback of the Farmers laws "We ACFI wholeheartedly welcome the Government's decision to repeal the 3 Farm Laws, which would help to break the ongoing impasse. We also appreciate the Prime Minister for his commitment to provide good quality seeds to the farmers, easy claim for damages and offering the right price to the farmers for their produce. While the budget allocation on Agriculture has increased by 5 times since 2014, we expect the financial situation of the farmers to improve steadily".
This shows the current magnanimous side of the Indian agricultural industry which is actually willing to put this problem to rest and move on forwards with the govt to benefit the farmers as a whole in the future.
Pradeep Multani the President of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry also highly appreciated the PM’s decision to withdraw the 3 farm laws and to form a committee to address the farm issues and said that “The decision on this auspicious day of Gurpurab highlights the commitment and dedication of the Government to the welfare of countrymen in an adequate democratic way. The decision to form a committee to address the farm issues would go a long way to identify the actual pain points of the farmers and help the government to make adequate farm policy to enhance the income level of the farmers, particularly the marginal farmers which are 80% of the total farmers and hold less than 2 hectares of land ”.
Multani also shared with Krishi Jagran that the PhD Chamber is looking forward to a great policy environment, which is for the benefit of each and every segment of the society and intends to make India a US$ 5 trillion economy in the coming times.
