EPFO Latest News: Money deposited in the Provident Fund (PF) can be withdrawn during an emergency. Everyone knows this, yet when an emergency arise it is often unclear how this money will be withdrawn. Because an emergency does not always occur with warning, knowing how to withdraw PF money ahead of time can prevent you from wandering to withdraw money in an emergency. 

Money Can Be Withdrawn In Case of Marriage or Emergency

Money from a PF account can be withdrawn in the event of an emergency or a domestic marriage. In the event of a medical emergency, the PF money is deposited into the account within one hour, however if the advance is being withdrawn for marriage, it takes three days.

Know The Procedure to Withdraw PF Money?

  • To begin, go to official website of EPFO.

  • The option of Online Advance Claim will show in the top right corner of the website after logging in.

  • It is necessary for you to click on this. Then you must proceed to the online service.

  • Then claim forms 31, 19, 10C, and 10D must be completed.

  • After you've completed the form, you'll need to verify your information by entering the last four numbers of your bank account.

  • Then click on the Proceed to Online Claim button. Then PM Advance must be chosen.

  • After that, you must select the option and provide a reason for withdrawing PF funds.

  • You must upload a scanned copy of the check by filling in Rs. and your address must also be supplied.

  • Afterwards, you must select Get Aadhaar OTP.

  • The OTP will be sent to the Aadhaar-linked mobile number, after which the PF claim will be filed.

  • The PF money will appear in the account after one hour.

No Need for Medical Bills

Let us tell you that you no longer need to attach a medical bill when filing a medical claim. Previously, medical bills had to be paid, but EPFO amended this law after the pandemic. 

EPFO Distributed Interest To 24 Crore PF Account Holders

Now let inform you that the Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has distributed interest to over 24 crore account holders across the country. EPFO has credited all PF account holders with an interest rate of 8.50%.
