The Central Board of Trustees and EPF earlier this year had recommended an 8.10 percent annual rate of interest to be credited on EPF accumulations in the members’ accounts for FY2021-22. It must be noted that the EPFO announces the PF interest rate every year.

How to check EPF balance through missed calls:
By placing a missed call to 011-22901406 from their registered mobile number, EPFO subscribers can get their PF information from the Employees' Provident Fund Organization. This is possible if they have registered on the UAN portal.
However, if you are using a number other than the registered mobile number associated with your EPF account prevents you from receiving the EPF balance even after using their missed call services.
How to claim PF amount?
You must enter your UAN (Universal Account Number), password, and captcha on the EPFO website. Then you select "Claim (Form 31, Form 19, Form 10C, and Form 10D)" by clicking on the "Online Services Tab." Click "Verify" after entering the bank account number linked with your PF account.
As per the previous regulation, 100% of the EPF could be withdrawn following two months of unemployed. With certain restrictions, tax exemptions are available for withdrawals of EPF corpus. Employee contributions to the EPF account must be made continuously for five years in order to qualify for tax exemption on the EPF corpus.
You can take money out of your PF account for the following specified purposes: buying a home. debt repayment. advances brought about by certain emergencies.
