If you are a PF account holder, this information is for you! EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organization) has made e-nomination mandatory for its members and the Last date to do so is 31st March.
Without e-nomination, you won't be able to check the balance of your PF account. You will not be able to obtain many other benefits as a result of this.
In the event of the account holder's death, E-nomination allows the nominee/family members to withdraw funds from PF, Pension (EPS), and Insurance (EDLI).
The nominee can also file a claim online.
Advantages of EPFO e-nomination:
Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLIS) participants also have access to insurance coverage (EDLI Insurance cover).
The nominee in the scheme receives a maximum insurance cover of Rs 7 lakh. If the member dies without any nomination, then there will be difficulties in processing the claim.
So let us tell you how you can fill out the nomination online.
Documents Required for Filing e Nomination:
EPFO has noted that citizens can update the nomination anytime they want and there’s no documentation or authorization required. Self-declaration is sufficient.
