The government will soon disburse the interest earned on PF accounts to around 6.5 crore account holders. By August 31, the interest earned on PF accounts should be credited to PF accounts.
The interest was meant to be credited in July, but because of the epidemic, the process was delayed. This came to light after a Twitter user and an EPFO account holder questioned the EPFO about the interest they are expected to receive and when they will receive it. In response to that tweet, the EPFO stated that any interest that is credited to the account will be combined and the complete amount will be delivered.
EPFO: How to Check your Account Balance
You can verify the details of your PF account in many ways. One can simply do so by going to the official website, but one can also get the information by sending an SMS.
The EPFO has assigned a number for checking your EPFO account by message. All you have to do is send an SMS from your registered mobile number to the specified number, and you'll have all the information you need.
Through SMS:
People can type 'EPFOHO UAN' into their message box and text it to 7738299899. English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Bengali are among the ten languages accepted. It is important to link your UAN, PAN, and Aadhaar for this information.
If you want to send and receive information in English, include the phrase 'EPFOHO UAN ENG' in the message. The last three letters (ENG) stand for English. You will get information about balance in English if you combine these three words together. If you type in the Hindi code (HIN), you'll obtain information in Hindi. Keep in mind that you do not need to submit your UAN number instead of UAN. Simply type UAN to exit.
Through the Official Website:
Visit the EPFO's website. From the 'Our Services' drop-down menu, choose 'For Employees.' Then select Member Passbook from the drop-down menu. When you open the PF account, you'll see the balance right away.
