e-Shram Portal: Before the UP assembly elections, the Yogi government gave a big gift to the workers working in the unorganized sectors. The government has transferred 1000 rupees to the account of such registered workers.
In the first phase, 1.5 crore workers received Rs 1000 on Monday. If the reports are to be believed, Yogi Government will send Rs 1000 to the account of 2.31 crore more people in the second phase.
Actually, the Centre Government launched e-Shram portal to crores of workers of the country working in the unorganized sectors last year keeping in mind the interest of the workers. The main objective of the government is to get information that how many people are working in the unorganized sector, to whom the benefits of government schemes are to be reached.
How to Register on e-Shram Portal?
Unorganized sector worker working in any corner of the country can get registered on the e-Shram Portal.
There are 2 options are available for registration, out of which first is self-registration, second is Common Service Center. By the way, you can also register yourself on the portal by going online. If you do not want to register yourself, then go to the Common Service Center.

Benefits of e-Shram Card:
On getting an e-shram card, a person gets accident insurance of Rs 2 lakh. Under this, a sum of two lakh rupees is given in case of accidental death or permanent disability and one lakh rupees for partially disabled.
With the e-shram card, in the coming time, only the registered workers will be able to get the benefit of any facility or scheme brought by the government . The benefit of pension facility will be availed in future by e-shram card.
