The Central Government launched the e-Shram Portal with an aim to help 38 crore workers of the unorganized sector in the country. The government will create a national database through this E Shram Portal. Under this initiative, e-shram cards will be issued to the workers which will have a 12 digit unique number and this e Shram Card will be valid everywhere in the country.

Toll-free number to help with Registration:
A national toll-free number 14434 has also been started to help the workers. Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav had released the logo of E Shram Portal.
Who is Eligible for Registration?
Any worker, working in the unorganized sector, between the age of 16 to 59 years can register for this e-Shram Card. However, on the portal, you will have to tell whether you are a member of EPFO or ESIC. If you are a member of EPFO or ESIC then you will not be able to register your E Shram Portal. It has been launched only for those people who work in the unorganized sector and are not able to avail the benefits of EPFO or ESIC.

No official order has been issued by the Central Government or the Ministry of Labor and Employment regarding the last date of registration on this E Shram Portal until now. Therefore, workers can now get their E Shram Card made without any hassle.
Any worker can register by visiting this registration portal. Let us tell you that the registration on the e-Shram Portal is completely free. The workers do not have to make any payment for this at the CSC centers.
