The national capital Delhi will be the first state in the country to offer a subsidy for the purchase of an electric bicycle. The dealers will be provided information about Monday. The subsidized website will be available starting on Wednesday.
The cheapest on-road e-cycle will cost Rs 23 thousand 499 after subsidies, while the costliest will cost Rs 38 thousand 185. The Delhi government has approved the subsidization of 13 different e-cycle types.
A 5,000-rupee subsidy will be given to the first 1000 e-cycles, with an additional 2,000-rupee rebate. The e-cycle sale process will begin soon. Hero has the highest number of government-approved e-cycle models.
It's worth noting that residents of Delhi can now apply to the Transport Department for a variety of acceptable models. Only one e-cycle will be subsidized per person. They must be Delhi residents. The Aadhaar Card will be linked to it.
A passenger e-cycle may travel up to 45 kilometres on a single charge. The e-cycle subsidy is likely to pique the buyer's curiosity.
