DU Cut-Off List 2021: College-wise
Cut-off for Aryabhatta College
Aryabhatta College set a benchmark of 98.5 percent for psychology (Honours), and 98 percent for economics (H) and BCom (H). This was a marginal rise from the previous year, when the asking score for psychology (H) was 97 and BCom (H) was 97.5 percent. However, the cutoff for economics (H) stayed constant at 98 percent.
Higher cut-offs are used to avoid over-admissions
According to Dr. Babli Moitra Saraf, principal of Indraprastha College for Women, students should not be disheartened if they do not make the cut-offs in the first list. "Because universities do not want to risk over-admissions, the first and second cut-offs are higher. The guideline is that everyone inside the cut-off must be accommodated, regardless of the number of seats available "She stated.
Over 70,000 students scored above 95% in CBSE 12th exam.
"This year, almost 70,000 students scored above 95% in CBSE, and we have 70,000 seats available. There is a significant clustering of students in the 95% to 100% range, the 90% to 95% range, and even in the 85% to 90% range.
To prevent admitting more students, we must keep the cut-offs as high as possible. Every year, more students are admitted than the seats available "On the condition of anonymity, the principal of an off-campus college stated.
