Dr. Vijaya Lakshmi Nadendla, Joint Secretary (Marketing), Ministry of Agriculture, will inaugurate the FPO call centre at Krishi Jagran Headquarters in New Delhi on Tuesday. MC Dominic, Founder & Chairman of Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World, Shiny Dominic, Managing Director at Krishi Jagran & Agriculture World along with Mashar Velapurath, MD, AFC India Limited will participate in the event which will be held in hybrid mode.
Other important attendees include KV Somani, CMD at Somani Kanak Seedz, Dr. Dinesh Chauhan, VP at New Initiatives DeHaat, and Daya Shankar Singh, President of UP FPO Association.
Ahead of the event, MC Dominic said, "The inauguration will mark a significant historical moment, particularly for the FPO sector. The main goal of this effort is consistent with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's lofty goal of establishing 10,000 prosperous agri FPOs in India."
"This FPO call centre will offer a one-stop shop for all of the problems and obstacles that the farmer community is now facing. We have assembled a group of specialists who can respond to any of their questions and aid in their success. Let's work together to make this combined initiative between Krishi Jagran and AFC a success so that the FPOs can take over the Indian business sector.", he added.
It is imperative that FPOs grow as we observe the Indian agriculture industry expanding due to the adoption of more farmer-producer groups.
Utilizing resources from KVKs, State Agriculture Universities, Central Agriculture Universities, and Subject Matter Experts, this game-changing programme operates as a Query Resolve Committee.
The call centre offers assistance for issues like formation, registration, business plans, ROC-related issues, legalisation, production, procurement, finances, storage, and processing, to name a few. Krishi Jagran and AFC hope to assist FPOs with this project in finding the best solutions for the efficient operation of their organisations.
How exactly does the FPO Call Center operate?
The FPO call centre, which is connected to the toll-free number 1800 889 0459, is designed to take all incoming calls from FPOs.
The call will be forwarded to the area code or language the caller prefers after the FPO/federation/cooperation dials the number.
Organizations will be prompted for basic information and their question as soon as the contact centre receives the data, and then the call will be sent to the proper experts.
If the question is still unanswered, a member or members of the Query Resole Committee from AFC and SAU will contact you to discuss your options.
Twelve languages, including English, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Assamese, Telugu, Tamil, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, and Oriya, are supported by the FPO call centre facility across all of India.
