To inspire and guide the students of the IARI-Patna hub, an enriching interaction session was organized with Dr. SS Rathore, the esteemed Head of the Division of Agronomy at IARI, New Delhi. The session was welcomed with enthusiasm by Dr. Anup Das, Director of ICAR RCER, who spoke highly of Dr. Rathore's invaluable contributions to the field of agronomy.

Dr. Das emphasized how the vast experience of Dr. Rathore would be instrumental in equipping students with practical insights to address the challenges they may face in real-life scenarios.

Dr. Rathore, during his address, highlighted the significance of such interactions as platforms for learning from one another. He remarked that these discussions not only offer students an opportunity to clarify doubts but also serve as a catalyst for generating new ideas and perspectives. "The essence of growth lies in learning something new every day," he said, stressing the importance of staying curious and engaged in the process of continual learning.

He encouraged students to update their knowledge daily and to focus on developing employable skills, which would open doors to better career opportunities. In his motivational words, he assured the students, "You are second to none," urging them to believe in their abilities and pursue their learning with commitment.

Dr. Anup Das also shared his vision for the students, urging them to aim beyond the ordinary. He suggested that students form small groups, consisting of two to three members, and focus on making their own notes on subjects they are passionate about. Dr. Das emphasized that self-learning would be a critical aspect of their academic journey and future success. "Don't wait for knowledge to come to you; go out and seek it," he encouraged.

Following the discussion, Dr. Rathore, along with Dr. Anup Das, visited the Sabjapura farm’s research fields, where they had the opportunity to engage with ongoing projects and observe the application of agronomic research in real-world settings.

The event, coordinated by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Senior Scientist at ICAR RCER Patna, proved to be a valuable experience for the students.
