Dr. Radhey Shyam Dixit, Founder and Chairman of Ananda Dairy, visited the Krishi Jagran office in New Delhi on October 8, 2025. During an interactive discussion at KJ Chaupal, Dr. Dixit shared his remarkable journey of perseverance, entrepreneurial spirit, and dedication to transforming India’s dairy sector.

Reflecting on his humble beginnings, Dr. Dixit recounted how his entrepreneurial journey started during his school days, when financial constraints led him to begin tutoring. “I earned Rs 200 from my first teaching experience,” he shared. “That was the moment I realized the importance of using income wisely and understanding the true essence of entrepreneurship.”

Founded in 2010, Ananda Dairy has today emerged as one of India’s leading dairy brands. The company procures around 10 lakh litres of milk daily from over 6,000 villages, caters to 1.5 lakh retailers, and exports its products to 20 countries. With a turnover exceeding Rs 2,500 crore, Ananda continues to empower thousands of farmer families and strengthen rural India through innovation, sustainability, and inclusive growth.

Dr. Dixit highlighted Ananda’s unwavering commitment to quality, technology, and ethical dairy farming. He emphasized the importance of genetic improvement and technological collaboration in sustainably enhancing milk production.

Sharing one of Ananda’s latest initiatives, he revealed plans to acquire Girlando cow embryos—a superior crossbreed of the high-yielding Holstein cow and the heat-resistant Brazilian Gir cow. The initiative aims to distribute these genetically advanced embryos to local farmers, enabling them to produce cows with higher milk yields and improved resilience to climate challenges.

The session concluded with an interactive exchange between Dr. Dixit and the Krishi Jagran team, followed by a group photograph, capturing the shared enthusiasm for advancing India’s dairy and agricultural sectors through innovation and collaboration.
