On October 04, 2024, Krishi Jagran successfully organized the District Kisan Utsav at the International Baudh Shodh Sansthan, Vipin Khand, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The event, sponsored by KRIBHCO, IoTechWorld, and Somani Seedz, served as a vital platform for industry experts to connect, exchange knowledge, and present innovative solutions aimed at empowering farmers and improving their access to rural markets. Around 250 farmers from the region attended the Utsav, gaining valuable insights into modern agricultural practices and technologies.
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by an elegant Ganesh Vandana and Bharat Natyam performance by Pihoo Dwivedi. The welcome address was delivered by Jagdish Narain Sachan, Marketing Manager at KRIBHCO. Nishant Kumar Taak, GM, Social Media & Special Initiatives, Krishi Jagran moderated the event throughout the day.
The District Kisan Utsav was graced by several esteemed guests, including Anand Mishra, popularly known as the Lemon Man of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Suresh Kumar, Chief Veterinary Officer, Lucknow, Anil Kumar Yadav, Deputy Director of Agriculture for Lucknow Mandal, Prashant Kumar from IoTechWorld, Dr. Pratik Singh, Secretary of Gosewa Aayog, Lucknow, Shambhu Yadav from Somani Seedz, KB Singh, Project Director of Agriculture Finance Cooperation, Dr. Rakesh, Director of International Baudh Shodh Sansthan, and MC Dominic, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran. Their presence added immense value to the event, providing insights and guidance to the participating farmers to enhance agricultural productivity and income.
The discussions covered key topics such as smart farming, crop protection, drone use in agriculture, and the doubling farmers' income. KRIBHCO and Somani Seedz set up stalls to educate farmers about best practices/solutions in agriculture, while IoTechWorld showcased advanced drones that can help farmers in their farming activities.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, a group photograph, and a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing progressive farmers for their contributions to agriculture.
