Speaking to farmers from various places, the sub-division Director stated that the department is working on an ambitious plan to provide farmers with year-round supply of seedlings of various vegetable crops.
He stated that in order to attain this goal, the department has created high-tech playhouses in all of the Kashmir division's districts.
The director also emphasized the significance of integrated farming and encouraged farmers to diversify their agricultural businesses.
He directed the personnel in charge to assist farmers with the development of paddy nurseries as well as the pre and post-harvest activities of oil seed (mustard) crops.
He assured the farmers that the department will offer them with all necessary technical help in carrying out their agricultural activities.
Later, Dir Agriculture paid a visit to some forward-thinking agri-entrepreneurs in the area who have constructed integrated farm units.
He interacted with these agripreneurs and solicited comments from them. The director was joined by deputy director planning Muhammad Younis Chowdhury and some other department offices.
