The World Health Organization and the International Diabetes Federation are conducting the events in the day. Most people in the world suffering to this disease. It is a lifestyle disease. Diabetes should not be viewed as a way to treat other diseases. We can prevent diabetes to some extent through a balanced diet and exercise. India has the highest number of diabetes patients. Kerala has the highest number of diabetics in India. Lifestyle changes are the main reason for the spread of the disease. The disease, which used to be found only in adults, is now seen in all children and adolescents.

 The medical world calls diabetes ‘the silent killer’. It is a serious disease that affects the function of all the vital organs of the body such as the heart, eyes and kidneys. Insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas. This insulin regulates blood sugar levels. Family members should also pay full attention to such matters. Households should try to provide food and medicine to such people on time. Spending more time with them should also alleviate any kind of stress they may have. .The diabetes person needs more attention of family members rather than doctors.
