About the Chairman- Shri R.G.Agarwal
Shri R. G. Agarwal, Chairman, Dhanuka Agritech Limited is a story of a self-made man to start this enterprise from scratch, primarily for his concern for the rural community in far flung Indian villages. After graduating from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University with B. Com (Hons) his vision was that of a technocrat to take over a sick manufacturing unit and transform it into a profitable venture.
Sh. R G Agarwal wanted to do something of his own. He ventured into the trading of fertilizers and agro-chemicals with a humble shop in Tilak Bazar, Delhi. The challenges were immense in terms of lack of experience, paucity of funds and limited mobility.
By 1975, he expanded trading for UP, Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh. The focus of business expansion was on the pesticides, an essential Agri input for sustained production and reduction of farm losses .Thus a need arose for own source of production.
Despite all odds, Mr. R G Agarwal did not give up and continued to work for his larger dream to set up own manufacturing unit, a rarity those days.
