The Delhi government announced a weekend curfew on Tuesday, which will last from Friday 10 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m., due to an increase in Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases.

The decision was made during a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) to assess the situation in the national capital after the spread of Omicron.

Other restrictions imposed by the DDMA include directing government offices to commence work from home and restricting the worker strength at private offices at 50% of their capacity.

The DDMA order said that essential services, including food items and medication supply, will be continued indefinitely.
