Delhi Weather: India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh alert for Delhi as the Southwest Monsoon has arrived in the city, bringing light to moderate rain over the past 24 hours. According to the IMD, the monsoon reached the national capital nine days ahead of schedule and is already making its presence felt with cooler temperatures and scattered showers. The city is expected to see generally cloudy skies with intermittent rain and thunderstorms through July 3.

After weeks of scorching heat, Delhiites are finally enjoying a welcome spell of monsoon showers. The rainfall has brought down temperatures by 3–5°C, with maximums hovering around 32–33°C and minimums between 22–25°C, both significantly below normal. Winds from the southeast, reaching speeds of up to 16 kmph, have added to the cool relief.
