The Ministry of Textiles is set to host its significant event, “Master Creation,” a grand showcase of India’s finest handlooms and handicrafts. This vibrant celebration of artistry will take place from December 1 to December 15, 2024, at the Dilli Haat in INA Market, New Delhi. The event is dedicated to supporting artisans and weavers by providing them with a platform to display their skills and sell their creations directly to consumers, while also emphasizing the importance of preserving India’s rich handloom and handicraft traditions.
Master Creation promises an immersive experience for visitors, offering a diverse array of handcrafted products, from intricate textiles and pottery to exquisite jewellery and woodwork. The event will feature the works of 157 talented artisans, including 11 Padma Awardees, 18 Shilp Guru Awardees, 22 Sant Kabir Awardees, 113 National Awardees, and three National Merit Certificate holders. Each artisan’s stall will highlight unique creations, reflecting both traditional and contemporary Indian art forms.
To enhance the experience, live demonstrations will allow visitors to see artisans and weavers at work, showcasing their exceptional craftsmanship. The event will also host cultural performances, where traditional music and dance will bring the vibrant essence of India to life. Food enthusiasts can savor a variety of regional cuisines at dedicated food stalls, making the experience a feast for all senses.
