
On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, the Delhi Milk Scheme (DMS) marked a significant milestone by launching a range of new dairy products and handing over booth allotment letters to selected applicants at a special event held at the NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi. The event was graced by Alka Upadhyaya, Secretary of the Department of Animal Husbandry & Dairying (DAHD), along with senior officials and stakeholders from the dairy sector.
The digital launch featured Cow Milk and co-branded dairy products, aimed at strengthening product quality, enhancing consumer trust, and empowering livestock farmers. As part of the initiative, 22 new booth allotment letters were handed over, creating fresh employment opportunities and reinforcing the rural–urban dairy connection.
Speaking at the event, Secretary Alka Upadhyaya highlighted the government’s vision to reinforce the dairy ecosystem through improved products and inclusive growth across the value chain. She also lauded the efforts of DMS and the Haryana Milk Federation for introducing new products to the market.
Additional Secretary Varsha Joshi emphasized the importance of DMS-branded milk and dairy products for Delhi and NCR, noting that the launch reflects a progressive approach toward expanding and strengthening dairy offerings.
The event was also attended by Rama Shankar Sinha, Additional Secretary DAHD, Jagat Hazarika, Advisor DAHD, Ram Avtar Garg, Chairman of Haryana Dairy Development Co-operative Federation Ltd., along with other senior officials and beneficiaries of the booth allotment scheme.
