Delhi University has officially launched its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025–26. This online system will handle the complete admission process for all UG programmes offered by DU and its affiliated colleges. The admission process will be based entirely on CUET-UG scores.

What is the CSAS Portal?

The CSAS portal is an online admission system introduced by Delhi University to ensure a transparent, centralised, and streamlined process for undergraduate admissions. Through this platform, students can register, upload documents, choose their preferred colleges and courses, and receive seat allocations based on merit and preference.

This system has replaced the old method of admission based on Class 12 board results, bringing more uniformity and fairness to the selection process.

Timeline of DU UG Admissions 2025

Here are the key dates students should note:

  1. CSAS Portal Opened: June 17, 2025

  2. CUET-UG Result Expected: Last week of June 2025

  3. Preference Filling Phase: Begins after CUET-UG result declaration

  4. Seat Allocation Rounds: Will follow shortly after preference submissions

Step-by-Step Admission Process

The entire admission process is divided into multiple phases to make it easier for students to complete each step accurately.

Phase 1: Registration

  1. Visit the official DU CSAS portal (ugadmission.uod.ac.in).

  2. Log in using your CUET-UG application number.

  3. Enter your personal details, academic qualifications, and contact information.

  4. Upload necessary documents, such as caste or category certificates (if applicable).

  5. Verify your CUET application and exam details carefully.

Note: No changes can be made after the profile is locked, so review everything before final submission.

Phase 2: Preference Filling

Once CUET-UG results are released, the preference filling window will open. Students must:

  1. Choose their preferred programmes and colleges from the available options.

  2. Submit their choices within the given deadline.

  3. Save and lock preferences to proceed to the allocation round.

Seat Availability

For the 2025 academic session, DU is offering:

  1. Around 71,000 seats across undergraduate programmes

  2. Courses spread across 69 colleges and departments

  3. 79 UG programmes including more than 180 combinations in BA

These numbers ensure a wide range of options for students from diverse academic interests and backgrounds.

How Will Seat Allocation Work?

After students submit their preferences, the university will conduct multiple rounds of seat allocation. The system will consider:

  1. CUET-UG scores

  2. Category and sub-category reservations

  3. Course and college preferences

  4. Seat availability in each college

If a student is allotted a seat in a round, they must accept the seat within the deadline. If they fail to do so, the seat will be offered to someone else in the next round.

Reservation Policy

DU follows the Government of India’s reservation norms. The seat allocation will be done as per the following categories:

  1. SC / ST / OBC-NCL / EWS

  2. PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)

  3. CW (Children of War Widows)

  4. Kashmiri Migrants

  5. Sports / ECA quotas (as applicable)

Candidates applying under any of these must upload valid, updated certificates during registration.

Documents Required for CSAS Registration

Students should keep the following documents ready:

  1. CUET-UG Application Number

  2. Class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets

  3. Category Certificate (if applicable)

  4. EWS Certificate (if applicable)

  5. PwBD Certificate (if applicable)

  6. Photograph and Signature in specified format

Make sure the documents are clear, valid, and legible to avoid rejection during verification.

Help and Support

Students facing technical or document-related issues can contact the university via:

  1. Email: [email protected]

  2. Helpline: 011-27666073

The university may also hold online help sessions or webinars to guide students through the process.

Important Points to Remember

  1. Registration on the CSAS portal is mandatory for all DU UG applicants.

  2. Admission will be strictly based on CUET-UG scores.

  3. No physical forms or offline processes are allowed.

  4. Fill preferences carefully, as they play a big role in seat allotment.

  5. Lock your profile only after complete verification.

  6. Keep checking the DU admissions portal regularly for updates.

The DU UG admission process for 2025 is now live, with the CSAS portal accepting registrations.
