Consumer Affairs Department Invites Applications for Vacancies in NCDRC

Department of Consumer Affairs is inviting online applications for two vacancies in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, with a deadline of October 16, 2024. Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on qualifications, experience, and personal interviews.

Department of Consumer Affairs, under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, has announced the recruitment process for two vacancies for the position of Members in the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC). This commission operates as a quasi-judicial body established under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, with its headquarters in New Delhi.

Interested candidates can apply for these vacancies exclusively through the online portal. The selection process will adhere to the qualifications, eligibility criteria, and terms set out in the Tribunal Reforms Act and the Tribunal (Conditions of Service) Rules, 2021.

A Search-Cum-Selection Committee, established under the Tribunal Reforms Act, 2021, will be responsible for reviewing applications. The committee will evaluate candidates based on their qualifications, experience, and overall suitability. Shortlisted candidates will then be invited for a personal interview, with the final decision being made through a comprehensive evaluation process.

Applications for these positions will be accepted online through the portal jagograhakjago.gov.in/ncdrc from September 17, 2024. The deadline for submitting applications is October 16, 2024. Candidates submitting their applications via official channels must ensure the necessary documents are forwarded to the Under Secretary (CPU), Department of Consumer Affairs, Krishi Bhavan, New Delhi, by the same date.
