A meeting between central government and Farmers’ Organization was held at Vigyan Bhawan in Delhi on Farm Laws yesterday. In this, 40 organizations had participated. And first time ever, a never seen view in Vigyan Bhawan, Ministers also had lunch with the farmers.
Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said, “Farmers had made four proposals, in which two have been agreed. The ordinance on environment has been agreed, and an agreement has also been reached regarding electricity bill. And also an approval has been reached on the issue of stubble. And discussion of the MSP law is going on. We are ready to give the written assurance on MSP. The MSP will continue.”

Starting of the meeting
Negotiations started between the farmers’ organizations and the government of India on the Farm Laws issue. Total 40 farmers’ organizations reached to participate in the meeting at Vigyan Bhawan. And, on the behalf of government, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal and some other ministers are involved in the meeting.
Farmers’ organization is demanding the cancellation of the three farm laws.
Ministers ate the Anchor with Farmers
During the lunch time, an anchor was arranged outside the Vigyan Bhawan. Important point to mention is that food for farmers had also come from their place like everytime, in the previous meetings, farmers refused to eat the food given by the government.
And Ministers also ate the anchor with the farmers. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Piyush Goyal also stood in the line with the plate.
It is the 7th round of negotiations today between the farmers and the government.
Government stand Still on their point
As per the sources, the government will not withdraw all three agricultural laws. And in such scenario, the chances of obscuration can be seen.
Suggestion to Form a Committee
First round of the meeting continued for three hours. As per the sources, the government told that a committee can be formed to discuss the demands and issues related to the farm laws. Government talked with farmers and also explained that it is a long process to make the law and then withdraw it.
We should not talk on Amendment
According to the sources, the government is ready to consider the clause which is objectionable. But, farmer leaders are saying that they don’t want amendment, they just want the cancellation of three farm laws. And they also said, “we will go back only after repealing the law, not the amendment.
On the other side, the government is also static on their stand that there is no chance to withdraw the new farm laws. And reiterated the prior proposal that, the government will provide the written guarantee on the MSP.
And then another phase of the meeting started after the tea break.
And the final conclusion of today’s meeting is that the government will not withdraw the agricultural laws. But, has agreed with some demands of the farmers.
And now the next meeting will be on 4th January. And till that, farmers will continue their silent protest.
Discussion on MSP & Withdrawal of Laws is Going on

The Union Agriculture Minister said that 50% agreement has been reached between the farmers and the government on the issues. We have respect and compassion for the farmers. Hope that soon we will reach on the agreement between farmers and the government. And the government is ready from day one to form a committee.
Farmers Demonstration will Continue
Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said, “The government has accepted our two demands. Today’s conversation was good. Now the next meeting will be held on 4th January, till then the demonstration of the farmers will continue in a peaceful manner.
