On Sunday at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, the Congress will protest against the BJP government over price increases, unemployment, and the increase in the GST on essential items.
The "Mehngai par Halla bol" rally will feature speeches from many party leaders, including former Congress president Rahul Gandhi. Along with other regions of the nation, party members from Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh will take part in it.
The rally follows the opposition party's 3,500-kilometer "Bharat Jodo Yatra," which will begin on September 7 and travel from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. During this trek, Rahul Gandhi will raise awareness of issues like the cost of food and unemployment while promoting communal harmony.
The Congress will engage the general public at the grass-roots level through its largest-ever mass contact campaign, the "Bharat Jodo Yatra."
Sonia Gandhi, the president of the Congress, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the party's general secretary, are currently out of the country for the former's medical treatment; they will not attend the events.
Along with his mother Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi is currently traveling and he will return on Saturday and take part in both of the mega events.
Congress has been criticizing the government over the rise in prices and the unemployment rate, saying that these are common people issues that should be discussed in all forums.
