Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Congress leader and party's general secretary, met with a grand welcome in Raipur for the 85th Plenary Session of the party, a video of which is doing rounds on the internet.
Prior to Vadra's exit from the Raipur Airport, the now-viral video showed a thick bed of red roses on the road in front of the airport with party workers waving flags and chanting slogans.
Around two kilometres of the route were covered with more than 6,000 kilograms of roses. On a large stage set up along the path, folk artists dressed in vibrant traditional attire could also be seen performing.
As Priyanka arrived at the venue for the plenary gathering, stages were set up along the way, with admirers showering her with rose petals.

A thoroughfare leading from the airport to the location of the Plenary Session was also decorated with vibrant posters and hoardings of prominent Congress leaders. The billboards carry messages that were spread during the Bharat Jodo Yatra to 'bring the nation together and promote love'.
Around 8.30 am on Saturday, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, state Congress President Mohan Markam, and other party officials welcomed Vadra as she arrived at Swami Vivekananda Airport.
Priyanka Gandhi expressed her astonishment at receiving such a grand welcome while talking to the media. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, two prominent members of the Congress, arrived in Raipur on Friday to take part in the plenary session, which is taking place from February 24 to 26.
The Congress steering committee resolved to forgo holding elections for the CWC on the first day of the three-day conclave and gave the party chief the go-ahead to nominate its members instead.
Members of the Gandhi family abstained from the steering committee gathering, which was presided over by Kharge.
