Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Announces Procurement of All Crops in State at MSP

Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced MSP for all crops and waived Rs 133.55 crore in tax dues to support farmers. These announcements underscore the state government’s dedication to supporting the agri community.

Chief Minister of Haryana Nayab Singh Saini announced that his government will purchase all crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) and waive the outstanding abian tax dues amounting to Rs 133.55 crore. Addressing the 'Vijay Shankhnad' rally, Saini highlighted the BJP government’s commitment to farmers by currently procuring 14 crops at MSP and pledging to extend this to all remaining crops, totalling ten more, at the support price.

Saini detailed the MSP rates for various Kharif and Rabi crops in a statement released by officials. The government will purchase Kharif crops such as ragi at Rs 4,290, maize at Rs 2,225, soybeans at Rs 4,892, and black sesame seeds at Rs 8,717. For Rabi crops, barley will be bought at Rs 1,850, safflower at Rs 5,800, and lentils at Rs 6,425, while hybrid jowar will be procured at Rs 3,371.

Additionally, the state will buy jute at Rs 5,335 and coconuts at Rs 11,600-12,000. The Chief Minister assured that the pending crop damage compensation of Rs 137 crore for farmers in Rohtak, Nuh, Fatehabad, and Sirsa will be disbursed within a week.

He also announced a new policy allowing farmers to purchase three-star motors for new tubewell connections from any vendor across the country, expanding the options beyond the currently registered ten companies within the state.
