The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the results for the CBSE Class 10 and 12 examinations today, May 13, 2024. With an impressive 87.98% pass percentage in the Class 12 exams, students across the country can now access their results online. The examination, which commenced on February 15 and concluded on April 2, saw participation from a massive 39 lakh students representing various states.
This year marked a significant shift as the CBSE decided to discontinue the tradition of announcing merit lists for top-performing students in both Class 10 and 12 examinations. This move aims to improve the pressure of unhealthy competition among students and foster a more holistic approach to education.
In the national capital alone, 5.80 lakh students appeared for the CBSE Board exams 2024, which were conducted seamlessly across 877 examination centers. The examinations were held in a single shift, from 10:30 AM to 01:30 PM, ensuring uniformity and fairness throughout the process.
Students can conveniently check their results on the official CBSE websites—results.cbse.nic.in, cbse.gov.in, or cbseresults.nic.in. Additionally, the CBSE has introduced the option to receive results via SMS. By sending a text message in the specified format to 7738299899, students can quickly access their marks.
For those unsatisfied with their marks in the Class 12 exams, the CBSE offers a verification of marks/answer sheet service. Students can apply for this service within the stipulated deadline, after which the board re-evaluates the answer sheets for any errors or discrepancies. This ensures transparency and fairness in the evaluation process.
To further streamline the result-checking process, students can also access their Class 10 and 12 results for 2024 on DigiLocker, a secure digital platform endorsed by the government. Through easy-to-follow instructions on the DigiLocker website or app, students can quickly access and download their results.
As the CBSE results for 2024 are now available, students are advised to keep their roll numbers and other necessary details handy to avoid any inconvenience during the result-checking process.
