A little gadget in the form of a microchip will assist the Animal Husbandry Department in gathering information about the cattle. The RFID (Radio Frequency Identification chip) will aid in the identification of each livestock (cow, buffalo, and goat) in the same way as Aadhaar card does. At present the cattle are given the foot-and-mouth disease vaccination, they are given a plastic earring that looks like hanging carrying information.
