“Climate change is real and we are witnessing this horror every year as records keep breaking. Global warming is affecting agricultural productivity very negatively and we need to come together and work towards improving it. For its part, Bharat Certis is doing its best to reduce the abiotic and biotic stress in the crops. We have launched certain products for stress management in crops, and we are also discussing further advancing our technology with the Mitsui company,” said Dharmesh Gupta, MD of Bharat Certis AgriScience Ltd.
Dharmesh Gupta was speaking at the KJ Chaupal session today at the Krishi Jagran headquarters in Delhi.
Talking about Bharat Certis’s CSR activities, Dharmesh Gupta said that they planted 10,000 saplings last year, out of which 8,000 saplings have survived as trees. In his opinion, the survival of 8,000 plants is more important than the planting of 10,000 trees. He further urged people to plant a tree on their birthdays and special occasions.
He also talked about doubling farmers' income, problems faced by the Annadatta's, and many other critical agricultural issues with the Krishi Jagran team.
