Dr. Rajaram Tripathi, the pride of Bastar, who has elevated the international reputation of India's agriculture sector, is embarking on a historic visit to Russia from 28 July to 7 August 2025. Russia’s prestigious institution, the International Business Alliance (IBA), Moscow, along with India's leading agricultural media group, Krishi Jagran and Agriculture World, is preparing to welcome Dr. Tripathi with unprecedented warmth upon his arrival.
In a formal letter, President of the International Business Alliance, Moscow, and M.C. Dominic, Founder- Chairman of the Krishi Jagran, has extended a respectful invitation to Dr. Tripathi to attend this landmark meeting, aimed at giving new dimensions to India-Russia agricultural cooperation.
During this special visit, leading Russian agricultural experts, entrepreneurs, and stakeholders in organic products will engage in dialogue with Dr. Tripathi to formulate strategies for mutual cooperation.
The warmth shown by these Russian institutions reflects the growing international recognition of India’s achievements in sustainable agriculture, Ayurvedic products, and organic exports. This visit by Dr. Tripathi — who has risen to global prominence from a remote region like Bastar — will open new possibilities not only for India but also for the agricultural landscape of Russia.
On this occasion, Dr. Tripathi remarked that India was once known as the "golden bird" due to its progressive agricultural practices. Despite facing numerous challenges, India's agriculture sector holds immense potential — not just for the nation, but for the world.
On the special initiative of the Krishi Jagran, these meetings with top agricultural experts and entrepreneurs of Russia in Moscow and St. Petersburg will open new opportunities for sustainable agriculture, organic herbal exports, and innovation cooperation between India and Russia.
Born in the backward region of Bastar, Dr. Tripathi today stands as a powerful voice of Indian agriculture on the global stage. He is the founder of India's first internationally certified organic herbal farm — Maa Danteshwari Herbal Farm. He has revolutionized agricultural production through the development of the world-class black pepper variety, MDBP-16. His farm is regarded as the global leader in both production and quality of white musli.
Just a few months ago, the Government of Brazil invited him for an agricultural tour, and now this honor from Russia marks another proud milestone for both India and Bastar. His innovations — such as the development of a special ‘bitter-free’ variety of stevia, research in Ayurvedic products, and recognition by agriculture ministers at the national level seven times — make him one of the most distinguished and visionary farmer leaders in the country.
Dr. Tripathi’s visit to Russia will not only deepen India-Russia agricultural ties but also bring global recognition to the rich agricultural heritage of Chhattisgarh and Bastar.
