Alert! These States Likely to Witness Heavy Shower & Thunderstorm in Next 72 Hours

An east-west shear zone runs roughly along 11°N Lat. between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level and an offshore trough at mean sea level runs from Karnataka coast to Lakshadweep-Maldives area, says the weather forecast reports. Under the influence of these systems, fairly widespread to very heavy rainfall is likely to lash over parts of south peninsular India during next 4-5 days.

An east-west shear zone runs roughly along 11°N Lat. between 3.1 km & 5.8 km above mean sea level and an offshore trough at mean sea level runs from Karnataka coast to Lakshadweep-Maldives area, says the weather forecast reports. Under the influence of these systems, fairly widespread to very heavy rainfall is likely to lash over parts of south peninsular India during next 4-5 days.

Moreover, due to shift of trough northwards and convergence of strong southerly/south-westerly winds from the Bay of Bengal over northeast & adjoining east India, widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to continue over northeast & adjoining east India during next 2-3 days. On the other hand, isolated extremely heavy rainfall is also likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya during next 24 hours.

North & South India to Get Heavy Rain in Next 3-4 Days

Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls also very likely over East Uttar Pradesh during next 3-4 days and over West Uttar Pradesh during 28-29th June. Many parts of Uttar Pradesh is likely to receive heavy rainfall on Sunday and Monday, which may continue up to 3-4 days. On the other hand, Karnataka and Lakshadweep-Maldives area likely to lash over with widespread showers in the next 4-5 days.

Maximum & Minimum Temperature

Maximum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Madhya Maharashtra while minimum temperatures are appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over West Rajasthan; at isolated places over Telangana.
