India’s most awaited Argi-Carnival 2022 is all set to go live on October 14, 2022. Organized by the Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur, this 5-day event will host 9 events including an international workshop; nares capacity building events; plenary & invited lectures; stakeholder interaction; experimental field visits; poster sessions; exhibition and product display; visits to farms, discussions of bilateral projects, south-south collaborations, the CG agri-fest, etc.
It is worth mentioning that the carnival is sponsored by the Chhattisgarh Agriculture Department, Chhattisgarh Biotech Promotion Society, International Rice Research Institute, Manila, NABARD, and the Agriculture and Processed Food Export Development Authority (APEDA).
Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey will be presiding over the inaugural event which will be chaired by Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Charandas Mahant. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will attend the event on October 16th to address a farmer’s convention while Governor Anusuiya Uikey will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony.
The platform will bring together farmers, students, researchers, traders, and agri- exporters in one place with a vision to brainstorm solutions with national and international stakeholders for regional issues and ideas to solve Chhattisgarh's food and nutritional security. Moreover, there will be workshops on innovations and a symposium on the export and processing of minor forest products during the carnival.
