Abhijit Bose, Chief Marketing Officer, Tagros Chemicals India along with Jobi Eapen, Global Sales Head, Tagros Chemicals visited Krishi Jagran's office in New Delhi on November 12, 2024. During their visit, they shared valuable insights on Tagros's rapid growth and commitment to innovation in the agrochemical sector at an engaging session held at the KJ Chaupal.

Tagros Chemicals, one of the fastest-growing agrochemical manufacturers in India, is renowned for its strong global presence in crop protection and allied segments. With operations in over 90 countries, the company is at the forefront of providing sustainable and high-quality solutions to the farming community worldwide.

In his address, Abhijit Bose highlighted the impressive growth trajectory of Tagros, stating, “We are a 32+ years company. Tagros is one of the fastest-growing manufacturers of agrochemicals, with an international reputation in crop protection and other allied segments. Based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the company nurtures business relationships with over 90 countries. With four state-of-the-art manufacturing sites in Dahej, Panoli (Gujarat), Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu), and Ankleshwar ( Gujarat), we have the scalability and capability to deliver world-class agrochemical solutions while ensuring a seamless customer experience. Today, over 80% of our total revenue comes from exports.”

Jobi Eapen, sharing further details on the company’s global operations, said, “Tagros is a leading name in the agrochemical and crop protection industry with a global presence across continents. We focus on introducing new molecules to the Indian market by mapping those going off-patent globally. By doing so, we are able to bring new actives to the country that help improve the lives of farmers.”

Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

Both Bose and Eapen also emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and the environment. Eapen added, “Quality manufacturing is our strength. A significant part of our energy needs are met through renewable energy sources, with our own solar and wind power plants, and we continue to increase our renewable energy footprint. All our manufacturing sites are zero liquid discharge plants, and we invest heavily in ensuring responsible manufacturing. We’ve also expanded into contract manufacturing with multinational corporations, which allows us to bring in newer chemistries into the Indian agrochemical industry.”
