As New Year is not so far, it will bring new gifts for the central government employees. The Modi government will once again increase the Dearness Allowance (DA), as per sources. There may be an increase of 3% in DA of the employees. Under 7th Pay Commission, DA & DR are being paid at the rate of 31% to all the central government employees and the pensioners. But, there is a possibility of increasing 3% DA in January 2022.

DA Calculation

In New Year 2021, total increase of 14% was announced in Dearness Allowance.

Earlier, DA was kept in freeze for about 18 months.

It was announced to increase the DA Hike by 11% then by 3%.

DA is calculated only on basic pay.

If someone’s salary id Rs 20000 then at the rate of 14%, it would have increased by 2800 every month.
How Much Will Salary Increase; Understand the Calculation
As per the 7th Pay Matrix, there will be bumper increase in the salary of the officer grade. If the basic salary of any of the employees is currently Rs 31550.
